Alpha Alpha Upsilon is the University of North Carolinaat Wilmington's chapter Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society.  Through the use of literature and other creative arts, students enjoy fellowship with other chapter members as well as an active faculty. In keeping with our motto, "Sincerity, Truth, Design," Sigmas encourage imagination, self-expression, and a curiosity for literary masterpieces.  Our purpose is to provide social opportunities, promote involvement in the community through outreach and service projects, and to act as role models for other English majors.

Sigma Tau Delta Pledge: I shall endeavor to advance the study of the chief literary masterpieces, to encourage worthwhile reading, to promote the mastery of written expression, and to foster a spirit of fellowship among students specializing in the English language and literature, ever keeping in mind our international motto: Sincerity, Truth, Design.
