The Sound and the Fury
Notes: Use this edition of the book to look up the page numbers cited in these papers.
Quentin's section - Some notes I took on Quentin's section. Also, I apologize for the super long blocks of text, but I'm pretty sure that my notes are easier to understand than Faulkner's original text anyway.
Benjy's section - Some notes on Benjy's section.
King Lear
Notes: This is also my favorite play by Shakespeare. Granted, I've only read four of them, but I still really like this one.
King Lear paper - This paper was written in response to the following quote:
“During the 1960s critics ‘found confirmation of bleakness in their readings of the text… Their emphasis tended to be concerned with the indifference of the gods and the frailty of human life… with Lear progressing towards despair rather than towards redemption.” –R.A. Foakes
