01/16/07- Added lyrics/romanization/translation for "tsukiakari no shita de," by MONGOL 800.

01/03/07- Updated the Links section a little with some useful/cool links I've found while at college. Also, I put up lyrics for Katamari on the Swing. I have a feeling that that katamari shape won't hold up too well if I romanize/translate the lyrics, so no romanization/translation. For now.

12/30/06- New layout to reflect obsession with William Blake's "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell" and with Ulver's "Themes from William Blake's 'The Marriage of Heaven and Hell.'" Also, I updated the Links section because some of it got deleted somehow and it was rather sad to have an incomplete Links section. I also updated the Statistics section because some of that stuff was way out of date. The text on the side is a bunch of excerpts from the poem and the picture is one of Blake's drawings (sort of Photoshopped up a bit by me). I am fairly sure that only using bits of the original text/image makes my use of the text/image fair use. That, and this site is most definitely not for profit. Also, I added lyrics/translation/romanization for "joker," by THE BACK HORN, and lyrics/translation for "Melody," by MONGOL 800.

08/21/06- Added lyrics/romanization/translation for "mousou rendez-vous" from PEEP SHOW. That was really hard to interpret, although it's kinda cool that Merry linked it to one of their older songs. Also, I realized today that Merry and THE BACK HORN are on the same label, Victor Entertainment. And I really like both of those bands. I didn't know where to put that random factoid, so it goes here.

08/19/06- Added lyrics/romanization/translation for "sayonara ame(rain)" from PEEP SHOW. Warning: cheesiness ahead.

08/17/06- Added lyrics/romanization/translation for "akame no rojou" from THE BACK HORN's album ikiru sainou.

08/16/06- I finally wrote another essay, "Basic Derivatives." Exciting! It's in the Essays section, obviously.

08/15/06- New layout. I didn't really like the old layout. Also added lyrics/romanization/translation for "sentimental new pop" and "PLTC" from PEEP SHOW.

08/14/06- Added lyrics/romanization/translation for "nameless night ~na mo naki yoru~," also from PEEP SHOW. And, of course, AUTOMATION AIR by Pierrot just had to come up in iTunes while I was updating the site. AUTOMATION AIR has a similar theme to "nameless night," and the lyrics for both songs are rather sad.

08/10/06- Added lyrics/romanization/translation for "kyousou carnival," from Merry's new album, PEEP SHOW. Whoever is able to decipher all of the lyrics in that booklet deserves some kind of prize, because the lyrics are printed in this tiny, blurry font and Gara has a tendency to leave out words/slur them together when he sings.

07/16/06- Changed the layout of the page. I will probably upload some more essays soon, too.

02/14/06- Added a "Playground" section to the main page, which is just basically to see what I'm experimenting with for the next site layouts. Maybe I'll put some random HTML experiments in too.

01/21/06- Added a translation of L'Arc~en~Ciel's "The Rain Leaves a Scar." Also added lyrics/romanization/translation of L'Arc~en~Ciel's "STAY AWAY" from their "REAL" album. Also added a "Lyrics FAQ" subsection to the Lyrics page. I was kind of bored today.

01/12/06- Added a translation of Merry's "dramatic children."

01/07/06- Added the 「大学エッセイ」to the "Essays" section.

01/01/06- Added lyrics and romanization for L'Arc~en~Ciel's "The Rain Leaves a Scar" from their "heavenly" album. I don't know what hyde was on when he was writing the lyrics for this album. Also, I removed the "Terranigma" section from the website because while I still love that game, I don't really have the inclination to keep working on that section. Also, happy new year.

12/23/05- Added a translation for L'Arc~en~Ciel's "HEAVEN'S DRIVE."

12/20/05- Added lyrics and romanization for L'Arc~en~Ciel's "Fare Well" and "Round and Round" from their "True" album. Man, now "Fare Well" is stuck in my head. I also updated the Statistics page to reflect the fact that Shadow of the Colossus is the best videogame ever.

12/10/05- Added lyrics and romanization for L'Arc~en~Ciel's "HEAVEN'S DRIVE" from their "ark" album. I never realized those lyrics were that long before. Also added lyrics for L'Arc~en~Ciel's "trick" from their "ray" album. The lyrics are in English, so no romanization needed. Yay.

12/05/05- Added lyrics and romanization for L'Arc~en~Ciel's "and She Said," again from their "heavenly" album. It's been quite a while since I've listened to this song, so I might have romanized some stuff differently from the way hyde sings it in the song.

12/04/05- Added lyrics and romanization for L'Arc~en~Ciel's "Cureless," from their "heavenly" album, my favorite song off that album.

12/03/05- Added lyrics and romanization for Merry's "dramatic children" and lyrics for Merry's "yellow girl." Similar to "yasashisa kid," there will be no romanization of "yellow girl" because the formatting was stupidly hard to work out.

12/02/05- Changed the layout again. I decided that I wasn't very fond of the old layout, although that can be viewed in the "Old Layouts" section. I call the new background "doodle I made in 30 minutes in Photoshop." The theme this time around is of electricity and computers; the background is supposed to look a bit like a circuit diagram, and the Japanese in the background next to the stars says "switch on." (Note: the phrase "switch on" is shamelessly stolen from Merry's "japanese modernist.") The code on the main page is some Java code I wrote a while ago to generate a random 6-digit password. I like this layout better.

11/26/05- Added some essays in Japanese (「クローン」と「フリーターとニート」) and a section for essays I write in Japanese to the Essay ssection.

11/23/05- Added a translation for Merry's "atama ga ZAKURO." It is a very, very weird song.

11/22/05- Updated the Links section and added a translation for Malice Mizer's "sei naru toki eien no inori." Also, I added a translation for Weiβ's "Velvet Underworld" some time ago but forgot to update this page.

11/08/05- Added lyrics/romanizaiton/translation for L'Arc~en~Ciel's "LORELEY." Pretty lyrics there.

10/25/05- Added lyrics/romanizations/translations for L'Arc~en~Ciel's "flower" and "finale," two of my favorite songs by that group.

10/20/05- Added a translation for Merry's "bluesy night" and the lyrics for "Ve-doro." I also fixed some glaring errors in the romanizations of several songs, including "bluesy night" and any other Merry song that uses the phrase "sankyoku." I hate that phrase. I also removed the link for the "yasashisa kid" romanization, as it was incredibly hard to make the Japanese version look like it does in the lyrics and I'm not doing that again for the romanized version.

10/03/05- Added lyrics/romanization for "sei naru toki eien no inori." This was easier than romanizing "shiroi hada ni kuruu ai to kanashimi no RONDO" because Mana, I've discovered, likes to use the same words throughout the album. Also, for the record, this is my favorite song on the "bara no seidou" album.

10/02/05- Added lyrics/romanization for "shiroi hada ni kuruu ai to kanashimi no RONDO." If I had a quarter for every time Mana made up his own word or changed the pronounciation of some kanji, I'd have a bunch of quarters. In other words, romanizing these lyrics was stupidly hard.

08/14/05- Added lyrics/romanization for "mure." I'm just going and putting up all the lyrics for the CHAGE&ASKA songs I like.

08/13/05- Lyrics explosion. I finally uploaded the lyrics/romanizations for "atama ga ZAKURO," "bluesy night," and "hi no ataranai basho." I also added lyrics/romanizations for "Dune" and "higher ground" and removed the Noir Fleurir lyrics, since I'm too lazy to upload the lyrics I typed out for their songs and I'm not that interested in them anymore.

08/12/05- Rewrote the "The Foundation of S.F. Success" essay and posted the new one in place of the old one. It's up in the Essays section. I also took out a bunch of the older essays for rewriting. I'll probably put some new essays up in their place in the future.

08/11/05- Hooray! New site layout! And I figured out how to use CSS once and for all. Me > CSS. The code is much sexier throughout the site now. The "background" picture is from the giant ferris wheel in Odaiba in Japan. I was kind of bored and playing around with different settings and Photoshop and this came out. I will add some new content soon, believe it or not. Oh, and I uploaded lyrics, a romanization, and a translation for L'Arc~en~Ciel's "Shutting from the sky" from the Dune album.

02/26/05- The only thing I added is this picture. I have only one thing to say about that picture: I'm not on drugs, I swear. I've just been playing too much Katamari Damashii and I just heard the song "Kangaroo Pocket Calculator" for the first time. I think you can see how the picture developed from there.

01/31/05- Put up a new essay, updated my FFXI profile (c'mon scanner, start working so I can get my pictures up there) complete with missing screenshot gallery, added some new links, and changed my background image so that it's no longer quite so big. Y'see, I was stupid and made the image you see on a white background, saved that, and made that the background. So it took a looong time to load and I was too lazy to fix it. Now there's just the image that you see. Woo. (I should mention that this was pointed out to me last summer. Yeah, I'm pretty lazy here.)

07/29/04- Added a link to my profile on Allakhazam and 5 new screenshots to the FFXI section.

07/13/04- Added some screenshots to the Final Fantasy XI section.

07/12/04- Added a Final Fantasy XI section.

07/05/04- Site redesign (I was getting sick of that "Castle of a silence" background, too) and a whole bunch of other updates I was too lazy to record.

12/04/03- A bunch of new links added (not that any of them work, so don't try to visit them just yet). In particular: links for Merry's "atama ga ZAKURO", "bluesy night", "Ve-doro", "rojiura aika", "yasashisa kid", and "hi no ataranai basho" were put up. Also, links for "Flyin' To Your Heart" from Gitaroo-Man, as well as links for "omocha no MIISHA" and "tsumetasugiru mado" by Noir Fleurir. The background of the main page was changed as well- I call it "Castle of a silence" after the song from the Shadow Hearts OST.

12/03/03- Lyrics and romanization for Kiyoshi Hikawa's "Kiyoshi no ZUNDOKO-bushi" put up.
