Bridges, Henry F. (W.) Recruited and commanded   company I until required to develop a sharpshooter   battalion by BG Phifer in summer of 1862.  Given rank of major.  Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel August 1,    1862.  Made deputy to Col Ras Stirman   in a Brigade Sharpshooter Regiment.    Note last initial in    war records 'W', but a relative of the 2 Temple Sergeants has data that shows his last initial was F. Killed  in combat in 1864 see Gen. C. W. Lee Report. See bio in brigade biographies.
