There are no exits 15 or 16 as of yet, but the development now under way between Cross Bay and here might yet change that. Obviously the great master plans of yore allowed for the possibility by skipping those numbers. Exit 14's immediate environs were themselves the last undeveloped land to be built up in Brooklyn. The buildings to the right are part of Starrett City, a massive early 1970s cooperative housing complex. The overpass was completely rebuilt several years ago. Shot 6/2001. |
