Have you ever observed animals for a long period of time? Did they ever do anything wrong? Observe humans like animals. The similarities on every level are undeniable. The ONLY difference is we know were alive, w ich breeds ego, which begats greed, etc. Its all perfectly natural, evolution you know. So, in closing, society herds are natural and worthless, its all about being an indivdual animal amongst individual animals and communicating amongst your animal selve . |

I feel that in the US the corporations have already taken over and are now running the government. Their media control public opinion and they mold the news to suit their interests. Free-thinkers are not repressed, b cause that isn't necessary anymore, they are simply denied access to the mass media. Blacks are not discriminated against anymore, they are simply categorized as criminals and imprisoned. Mind-altering substances are banned on pain of imprisonment and los of property because their use may lead to new insights about the self, creating a possibility for the formation of social movements. I agree that people should pull their heads out of their asses and realize that we don't need rules or regulations. We are much more capable of governing ourselves than any organized group. I've just started finding my way around your site, and I really like what you're doing here. I see you have a Maya Deren image; I've always admired her work, especially "Meshes in the Afternoon." She influenced me a lot when I was studying film (no I'm working on my docotorate in clinical psych). Burroughs is way cool, too. I loved him in Drugstore Cowboy. Lots of great stuff here. By the way, I was just in San Francisco this past month and heard about "Burning Man" for the first time. I found a wh le book on it at a book shop. After looking at the book, I'm still not sure what the hell it is. But it looks like a real trip, for sure. I'd love to go to it, but its pretty darn expensive to get in -- or else I would've gone. You could probably find the book somewhere. I think it was just called "Burning Man". I finally came to the realization that this world never was perfect, is definitly not perfect and therefore will never be perfect. We think reform will solve all of our problems. Fuck it all. What the human race needs is salvation from itself. It is in our nature to destroy ourselves. The only viable solution for me...my own inner reform. If that means that I sit on a mountain in deep meditation until I breath my last breath then so be it... he world isn't going to hell. It's already there. So the question is...what are WE going to do as individuals? Certainly this is a piss poor and inadaquate summation of my views but my site would delve deeper and more clearly on those issues. |

I think that most religions are right on cause they all deal with the same thing essentially--COMPASSION. That is the key, as well as understanding what the buddhists call "interconnectedness"-that everything we rely on comes from somewhere else, which is ultimately part of one great life force. Once we know that we will be able to open our hearts to others so that we will be able to help others in need. The main way of doing that is thru education. I think the m st noble thing one can do is to help change the world thru education of the people. I have dedicated a major part of my life to human rights, especially in China & Tibet. Others may see their purpose down a different road. My Fathers is a minister, my mot er is a psycologist & my brother works with the homless and hungry all over the coutry & in London. But it all comes down to what I originally mentioned-COMPASSION. May each step you take draw you closer to your True Nature, and ultimately, to others. |
