06.22.03: We are now accepting new submissions for the ring. You must have an artistic site to be in this ring. Please follow the guidelines below.
This Net Ring is for anyone who writes or creates artistic images of any kind. Your site must have original writing or images or both to be included in this Net Ring.
Requirements to join are the following:
1.) some form of creative writing; OR
2.) artistic images of any kind, except pornographic and/or nudity (nudes in good taste are acceptable).
AND
3.) your page must have a purpose. Random pictures of yourself or your dog with a few links won't work. It must showcase your artistic endeavors and/or have some form of expression. I appreciate highly artistic websites. :)
4.) I would like it if your page was well-designed, well-maintained and easy to navigate. Must be able to find rings -- NO exceptions. However, pages with a simplistic, easy-to-follow format are fine too.
5.) Experimental forms in writing or visual expression are good, as are gothic, but no hard-core vampire or fetish sites. I do like a touch of the darkness.
Those are my basic guidelines. If you think you may qualify but aren't sure, either e-mail me or just submit. I will let you know one way or another. Just remember that this Net Ring is more artistic and expressive than anything else. Thanks. :-)
If you'd like to join us (even after reading all that), fill out this
form and your site will be added to the queue. Copy+paste the fragment below to your homepage or a webrings page, then e-mail me back stating that the fragment is on your page and I will check it out. Once everything is in order, and I feel your site qualifies, your site will be added to the ring.
Make sure the fragment is in a place that's easy to find! (I can't stress this enough!)
I reserve the right to decide what sites become part of the ring.
I would appreciate it greatly if you don't link the image directly to my website. Please download it instead.
Your site will remain in the queue for 14 days, after which it will be removed if the fragment is not in place. You can resubmit if you'd like.
Also, please take note: The fragment must be placed on your website in some form. You may make minor changes to it if you feel it would be better; but it must be recognizable as the Images & Words Net Ring fragment.
I do check the webring links once a month or so. If your links are bad, you will be placed in the queue and notified by e-mail. If you fail to correct the problem (or at least notify me that you're having trouble), you may be deleted. You could, however, resubmit. This is not to be a jerk but to keep the ring unbroken and surf-friendly.
When you join, remember that if you change providers or decide if you don't want to be in the ring, please, please e-mail me and let me know. Of course I wouldn't want to lose you, but it would be nice to know and not have to find out 3 months later because of bad links. :) (And I absolutely hate deleting people!) It would be highly appreciated.
I am willing to help anyone out that needs it -- with HTML, with the fragment, artistic endeavors -- you name it. So don't be afraid to just e-mail me if you have questions.
Promote the ring! Put the word out there! Help us grow! Visit fellow ring members' sites! Critique others' work!
Now that I've done the obligatory ringmistress stuff, here's the info:
Here it the HTML code for the fragment. Be sure to change the image name if you are using the non-animated gif.
Be sure to replace the e-mail, ID#, and name with your own. Make sure you get the entire thing, as it runs longer than your screen size. :)
This is the non-animated version of the webring image. Please download it; do not link it!
**Also be sure to change the name in the fragment if you use this image or if you rename either one.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to e-mail me.
