The Fugees have released a new alb of remixes called Bootleg Versions. It features remixes of "No Woman, No Cry," "Vocab," and "Ready Or Not." The highlight is a new, fresh track entitled "Don't Cry Dry Your Eyes."

Along with the new CD, Refugee Camp has also put out The Score...Bootleg Versions. The video contains every Fugees music video ever made. It also has an exclusive interview with the Fugees and live footage of the band in concert.

"No Woman, No Cry"

The vid for "No Woman, No Cry" has been released! Wyclef tapes the group in the recording studio with Steve Marley. The shots are probably from the Fugees' famous Booga Basement. The version of "No Woman, No Cry" in the video is the Steve Marley remix. Watch for the vid on MTV.

"No Woman, No Cry" is the upcoming Fugees video. This is my guitar tab for that track. I think it sounds pretty accuarate.

  C G Am
E---------------------------------
B---1-------0-------1-------------
G---0-------0-------2-------------
D---------------------0-2-3-3-2-2-
A-3-----------2-3-0---------------
E-----0-2-3-----------------------

Repeat those notes for the bulk of the song. I'm currently workin' on the chorus. Funk it up, peeps!

Are the Fugees racist?

There is a rumor that Lauryn Hill would rather "have her children starve" than have a white person buy The Score. It is said that Lauryn made this statement in a MTV interview, and her fellow group members nodded their heads in agreement.

Ha! Who is stupid enough to believe that? The people who started this whole mess are probably stupid punk rockers who don't know any better. They don't know that the Fugees are against racism. They don't understand that artists don't mock the race that buys most of their records. Has anyone seen this interview? I haven't, which means it probably doesn't exist.

The Fugees and their crew of military Refugees brought the house down at the 1996 MTV Music Awards. They won Best R&B Video for "Killing Me Softly."

Their performance was a flashy affair. Lauryn began with a Fugees megamix of "Fu-Gee-La" and "Killing Me Softly." Then, the group jammed "Ready Or Not." Suddenly, NAS came out in a red polyester outfit and struck up a verse of "If I Ruled The World" with Lauryn. It was da bomb.

The rest of the show sucked balls. It was too Smashy Pumpkiny.

Smokin' Grooves '96

How are the Fugees in concert? I have heard positive and negative rumors.

The Fugees are the best performers in hip-hop. Their concerts give off a universal energy and vibe. The Fugees pride themselves in performing their songs live. They consider their killer live show and killer live band their secret weapon.

A Fugees concert typically starts out with Wyclef and a DJ onstage, as Jean strums his way through his own self-styled "history of hip-hop" on guitar. Then, Wyclef does a sweet guitar solo with his tongue! Finally, Lauryn and Pras come out with other Refugee Camp members Mad Spider and Mafia. They perform the most theatrical live act since Parliament/Funkadelic.

Wyclef says in the latest issue of Rolling Stone, "Even if hip-hop kids don't appreciate live music, we're going to make them love it." All the negtive reviews of Fugees concerts are from those hip-hop kids who don't appreciate the fact that the Fugees perform with a live band. They find Wyclef's guitar antics really boring for some reason.

"Y'all forgetting the most important thing here. We're really steet kids. We're not coming out saying, 'Keep it real!' I'm just playin' guitar, what I used to do on the corner. And it will come off just like that on the stage," Wyclef argues.

Are the Fugees currently on tour?

The Fugees are about to finish their Smokin' Grooves tour, which was a huge success. I think they're basically finished with American touring for this alb. I've heard that the Fugees may go overseas during the winter. I haven't heard any news about Fugees concerts in awhile. Check out Sony's Official Fugees Website Concert Info for more details.

Are Fugees concerts dangerous?

The Fugees concert in Harlem was terrific until one stupid person shot a gun in the air and caused a human stampede. Fugees concerts aren't dangerous. The huge success of the Smokin' Grooves tour definitely shows the true safety of a Fugees show.

"Ready Or Not"

The vid for "Ready Or Not" has been released, and it is outstanding! The Fugees are on the run, and they go thru an assortment of exciting action sequences. Pras jet skis away from helicopter missles. Wyclef is jailed and escapes on a motorcycle. Lauryn swims her way to an abadoned submarine. All these scenes equal intense action. The vid is the sequel of "Fu-Gee-La," and the Fugees continue to tell the Refugee story through their explosive videos. Watch for the video on MTV.

The Fugees are helping their hip-hop friends with their talents and current popularity.

"If I Ruled The World"

The hottest Fugees guest appearance is made by Lauryn Hill on the track, "If I Ruled The World," by NAS. Hill sings the chorus, "If I ruled the world, I'd free all my sons. Black diamonds and pearls.....If I ruled the world....." NAS has weak delivery, but he makes that up with his tight lyrics. The video is a current hit on MTV and BET Rap City Top Ten. It Was Written, the latest NAS alb, has made a home in the Billboard Top 10.

The other hot Fugees appearance is with Cypress Hill on the song, "Boom Biddy Bye Bye." Wyclef carries most of the rap duties with B-Real. Lauryn lays a soft layer of smooth vocals on top of the chorus to produce a very dark effect. The video is being blasted on BET Rap City.

"Cowboys"

The latest Fugees video is for "Cowboys," a sweet track loaded with guest appearances. The vid shows scenes of the wild wild west and the movie theater from "Killing Me Softly." The video is a basic rap video. All the rappers get to show off their skillz. I luv it, but many people may not.

That explains why the music networks aren't showing "Cowboys." MTV made the Fugees a R&B group. So, "Cowboys" is too "hardcore." BET Rap City had it in the Top 10 for awhile, but it wasn't "hardcore" enough to stay there. If u find this vid on television, let me know!

"Fu-Gee-La"

Everyone on the planet has seen the video for "Killing Me Softly," but not many people have witnessed the "Fu-Gee-La" spectacle. "Fu-Gee-La" shows the Fugees running from the Refugee police and performing their sweet dance moves. The song goes perfectly with the lush Carribbean backgrounds and the nice camera shots of the Fugees in action.
