Muezza is a favorite among the volunteers in the Socialization Program for her sweet and affectionate nature. She has the volunteers fully trained to put a nice soft, warm terry towel on their laps before she will settle down for affection, brushing, and a nap. But be forewarned, once she's there, she'll stay for hours if you let her!
If the volunteers' laps are already taken, she'll wait patiently, looking at them with her sweet little face.
While we don’t know her exact age, we estimate it to be about 16. Though Muezza has no teeth, she gnaws on dry food without a problem, although she loves the wet kind, too. A tolerant cat, Muezza can often be found lying with two or three good buddies on a blanket.
In short, Muezza is a gem who would make someone a wonderful, sedate lap cat.
Muezza also loved to be brushed, and sung to. I used to sing "Someone to Watch Over Me" to her. I couldn't have loved her more if she were one of my own, but I never adopted her because she seemed content at Tree House with the variety of people coming in & out, and all her kitty friends.
I never knew the origin of her name, but found this information on it.
