Rockfest 97 was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. There was an unbelieveable amount of people there, an estimated 400,000+. I can't wait for Rockfest 98. Here's a couple of pics I got from the Dallas and Fort Worth papers. ***WARNING*** These pics are pretty big in actual size and file size, so please be patient.

This is how it all started. One simple ticket. After you walk through those gates, you'll never be the same. ;-)

Here's a small section of the traffic coming into the raceway parking area. The traffic streched for 14 miles at one point on Highway 114. It was several miles long on the interstate as well. It took us an hour and a half to travel approximately 20 miles. Most of the people got so bored just sitting in their cars that they got out and walked around talking with their friends and everyone around them. It was the strangest thing I have ever seen on a major interstate.

This is a picture taken from just in front of the stage. Maybe it'll give you an idea of how many people were there. You can kinda see how far back the stands are from the stage, and if you look hard enough, you'll see that the stands are full. The stands extend far to the left and right of what the picture shows.
