ANIMO LA SALLE!!!COLLEGE DAYS AT DLSU, Manila

Compared to high school, I didn't really take as many pictures. One could say that I got tired of taking the pictures... I wanted to be on them for a change!!! Some of the pictures here were lent to me by friends so that I could put them here in my online album.

I have to admit that I did have the ride of my life in college. Santugon, Freshman Orientation, the Political Science Society, and some truly awesome friends and experiences... I can't really believe that all of these happened to me in a span of three and a half years!!!

Have a peek at how life in college has been for me...

Santugon and Freshman Orientation stuff

I'd have to say that I didn't really have much of a "quiet" life in college. I even had to take a time management seminar during my sophomore year to get a grip on things.

I devoted most of my time to Santugon Sa Tawag Ng Panahon, one of the Student Council-recognized parties in DLSU, and to the Freshman Orientors, a volunteer group under the Office of Student Activities (who seem to orient people even if they aren't froshies... : P)

DLSU --- WE'RE NO. 1 !!!

Photo from the Manila Bulletin, dated October 8, 1998. Taken by Ramon Samson.

What most La Sallians agree with relation to common interest is the UAAP (University Athletic Association of Philippines). It's probably the biggest thing to watch-out for in college here in the Philippines --- especially basketball (what a big surprise, huh?)

The last time La Salle won in the basketball tourney was in 1998 season of the UAAP. I was there --- heck, almost everyone in the campus was there for the 2nd (and last) encounter between La Salle and FEU. Practically the whole of Araneta Coliseum was filled-up by the green gallery. I guess the support from fellow students helped a lot.

I wonder if La Salle will win again this year?

Frosh Orientors 97... DA BOMB!!!

Frosh Orientors 97... DA BOMB!!!

The Freshman Orientation and the Frosh Orientors are considered institutions within the university. In 1997, I became part of the pioneer oreintor group which implemented the first Lasallian Personal Effectiveness Program (LPEP). And here we are... probably the best group of freshman orientors ever!!!

Some friends at graduation...

Some friends at graduation...

Our graduation was held in the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on January 30, 1999. Here are some friends with whom I was able to experience this most momentous occasion. Some good friends who also graduated the same term as I did. L to R: me, Pauline, (forgot her name), and Jak Kahn (well... he didn't graduate along with us, but he's still fun company just the same!).

At last...

EEEEEK!

Here I am receiving my diploma from Bro. Rolly Dizon, FSC. Gosh... who would've thought that time would just fly as fast as it did! My grad pic... i don't like my hair here. The guy who did my hair made me look like some freaky hair spray image model!!!
