"A child of about eleven, garbed in a very short, very tight, very ugly dress of yellowish white wincey. She wore a faded brown sailor hat, and beneath the hat, extending down her back, were two braids of very thick, decidedly red hair. Her face was small, white and thin, also much freckled; her mouth was large and so were her eyes, that looked green in some lights and moods and grey in others." (Anne of Green Gables, Chapter 2)
Anne Shirley has always been one of my favorite characters in the Anne of Green Gables movies. She comes into a small gossipy town not knowing anyone or anything, but she soon turns the hearts of everyone into loving her. She is the heroine of Avonlea.

Anne has always inspired me. Especially when she says her famous and my favorite quote, "Tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes in it!" So she says to Miss Stacey while walking after school.
Anne is kind of a role model with me. Even though she is a character in a book and movie, she describes to true meaning of love. She may be a dreamer and is very headstrong, but she knows what she wants and sticks by it. She captivates the hearts of all her audiance!
