Gilbert is my second favorite character in the 'Anne' books & movies. He is so robust and handsome.But, that isn't the only reason I like him. Gilbert captivates me the way he loves Anne. I love his fire and how he trys his hardest to make Anne notice him. He loves her to pieces and would do anything for her. That, is true romance!

"Hey Carrots! Carrots..." "HOW DARE YOU!" SMASH!!!!!!

No one can forget that famous line when Gilbert calls Anne "Carrots," and then Anne smashes the slate over his head. I about died laughing the first time I saw it. :)
