Other Fun Stuff to Do Outside VW

Orlando is known for being the Tourism Capital of the World, and everybody knows why. There are literally tons of things to do out there, and the Walt Disney World Resort is only a small fraction of it. Theme parks, restaurants, malls and an incredible nightlife are all waiting for you. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to remember everything here, so please bear with me...

First of all, if you don't have a car, or a friend with a car, this is what you'll need: the LYNX bus system. The reason? Well, it's a LOT cheaper than a cab, and it goes all over town. There's a stop at TTC and at the Cast Members parking lot. Sometimes you'll need to change buses, but it works. The Florida Mall, Bellz, Wet 'n Wild, downtown Orlando, Church Street Station, all at your reach! The only place you'll REALLY need a car to get to is Busch Gardens... And now, some of my personal favorites...

LYNX Ticket
Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney
Divided into The West Side, Pleasure Island and The Marketplace, this is THE entertainment place for Cast Members who want to enjoy their discounts and have a good time. Shops (Virgin Megastore included), good restaurants (Planet Hollywood included), movie theaters and a whole bunch of night clubs, which are free for CM on Thursdays.

Disney Quest
"The Ultimate Interactive Adventure" is an indoor theme park. Loaded with the newest arcades, and also a bunch of classic ones, plus simulators and even virtual reality games, anyone who enjoys games (like myself) will have a ball in here!

Disney Quest

Universal Studios Escape
Now called this way because of the addition of Islands of Adventure (MEGA-AWESOME!!), City Walk (their version of Downtown Disney) and some hotels (the one owned by Hard Rock included), this major entertainment center pretty much speaks for itself. Highly recommended, DO NOT MISS the Adventures of Spider-Man
3D-simulator.

And Also!
If you can find the time, try to visit Church Street Station (along with the Terror on Church Street Hounted House), all the water parks available, dinner shows like Medieval Times and, of course, Busch Gardens. In terms of shopping, the Florida Mall and Bellz are your best options.
