Gentle
Reader,
C and Nani
Heaven is rejoicing in
Nani's
beauty. I was reading C's email from earlier in the year
that was still in my Inbox. He had written this soon after he and
Nani returned from a glorious trip to South Kona:
"I gave Annie
her Hawaiian nickname, finally .... Nani.
Easy for da Hawaiians to remember and rhymes wid her real name."
C could not have gifted his wife,
someone so beautiful in every way, with a better name than Nani.
Ever since, Annie has been Nani to me.
Her Hawaiian name suits her so very well. Nani
means beautiful in Hawaiian.
Annie is from France, so her name was not pronounced Annie as in
Annie Oakley, but Ah' nee. Nani is not pronounced Nanny, but
Nah' nee.
And it rhymes.
Beautifully.
Thank you, Yods.
Now you know who Nani is.
You and Kalena,
go hug each other real tight
for us.
"Life is a Gift."
Me ke
Aloha,
