Greetings!
Yesterday, over lunch
at L&L's, Cia, Malou and I relived Saturday's
wonderfulness. We talked about our own weddings, recalling
days long past. I shared with them how our wedding, DH's and
mine, was diametrically opposite to Saturday's extravaganza.

A Reminiscence of Our
Wedding
Since deciding to
surprise Kristen and Sean, the newlyweds, with a website, every free waking moment
has gone into its creation.
When I got married, I
was completely oblivious to the details of getting married.
Researching and writing about wedding traditions and rituals has
turned out to be a fascinating learning experience. Their
quaintness, lore and meaningfulness have captivated me.
Although rough seams
are showing all over the place, I couldn't wait to share the
barebones website with Cia and Malou yesterday, especially the great
shots of them. The little Fujifilm camera has become quite a
helpful buddy of mine lately.
Right now, I am
wondering if Cia was able to withstand the temptation of not showing
the online photographs to her sister, Patricia, the mother of the
bride. There is an especially attractive photo of
Patricia with her beau.
And we're not even
talking about her daughter's gorgeous shots. Kristen,
the ravishing bride, is exceedingly photogenic. There is not one
bad shot of her. I promise to share them with you, as soon as I get
them cropped, matted and organized.
Today, I'll get
started by giving credit where credit is due:
Cia
Kristen's
Aunty Cecelia
You
are this wedding site's inspiration.
Your
excitement was palpable,
to the point of giddiness.
It was, as you can see,
downright contagious!
Kristen
is blessed to have you for her aunt;
Patricia could not wish for a more loving sister.
Kelen is the luckiest little grand nephew.
Sean now has the best aunt ever.
Warm-hearted, generous and kind,
you're wonderful and dear,
For you have brought all of us happiness
Whenever you are near.
Because you've always loved us in
Your very special Cecelia way,
Now that Kristen and Sean are wed,
It's time for me to say:
I treasure our friendship.
Your beauty has no bounds.
You are no ka `oi.
(The best).
