Whether you choose to believe or not to believe is a decision you must make. However, no one can deny the impact of this man on the world. This man came to the world teach teaching lessons of love and compassion, caring and forgiveness for friends and enemies alike. For those of us who believe, this man suffered and sacrificed his own life that all men may live eternally through him and now waits in heaven at the right hand of the father for us to come to him. |

This woman grew up in hell on earth. You cannot imagine the horrible things that she went through. Lisa picked up soda bottles to pay her way through college and made herself who and what she is today; Nurse, wife, mother , child advocate and my proof that God answers prayer.Through this wonderful woman I have found what a marriage is supposed to be like and a love greater than I could ever imagine. I think her greatest asset is her inability to see fault in me. I truly hope I can be half the man she thinks I am. |

Single mother of 3. Didn't drive until age 32. Put herself through nursing school while working and raising us. Times weren't always good, but we never knew it. Thanks mom, I love you , I'm proud of you and I'm grateful for all you've done. |

These are the people who step in where others fear, who place themselves in jeapordy to help people usually unknown to them. Our mortal guardian angels. These are the people who go into an inferno to rescue a trapped pet , who throw themselves in front of assassains bullets, who suffer and die for freedom, who reach into burning vehicles to remove trapped persons. These are the ones who risk their lives so that others may retain the right to burn the flag that will be draped over the casket of those who paid the price for their freedom to do so. The bible says "Greater Love Hath No Man Than This...That he Lay Down His Life For His Friends" I believe that the willingness to make that sacrifice is just as great and I shall not forget. |

The Lone Ranger (played by Clayton Moore) Legendary Lawman of the west. Never killed a man on screen and didn't need color film or graphic video to be a success. The Lone Ranger, along with his faithful indian side-kick "Tonto" and other TV cowboys like Hopalong Cassidy and Roy Rogers Taught kids world wide, timeless values like truth and justice, values that are so desperately lacking in todays world. The ranger always left the screen riding on his trusty steed "Silver" and the bad guys never got away. He would leave behind a silver bullet and someone would ask "who was that masked man?" and as he rode away you would hear a hardy "High-Ho Silver...Away!" Life just didnt get any better than that for a young kid. I sure wish he were here now. |

Roy Rogers and Dale Evans |

Much as the lone Ranger, Roy and Dale managed to clean-up the west. The difference is that Roy and Dale were partners in life also. Through all the turbulence that is Hollywood and success they managed to ride together in marriage over 60 years and at the same time avoid all the personal pitfalls that plague so many in the industry. Roy and dale not only showed wholesome values on television, apparently they practiced what they preached and the world is a far better place for their being in it. So in the words of their theme song which closed each episode, a song written by Dale,..... "Happy Trails to you...until we meet again." |

During a world championship title fight boxer Evander Holyfield was bitten twice by boxer Mike Tyson. One bite literally tore off a portion of his ear. Holyfield defeated Tyson and everyone was waiting to hear what Evander would say about Tyson. Holyfield surprised everyone by Forgiving Tyson, he never said a negative word about him. Evander had every right to be angry and had the attention of the world, he said so much more with his gentle silence than he ever could with angy words. Evander Holyfield showed the world the character that makes him a true champion. |

This actors films are without a doubt some of Americas greatest treasures. A mutitude of roles , soldier, sailor, Marine , aviator and cowboy supreme. Sands of Iwo Jima, Undefeated, The green Berets, Flying Leathernecks and the list goes on...and on.a japanese film critic once described Wayne as being "big and ugly, but has dignity" I think he would have appreciated that. Waynes films showcased the finest features of our nation, our people and our freedom and inspired a multitude of military and civilian followers. he was tough as texas leather but you knew he was gentle on the inside. Wanye remains today an idol to servicemen of all branches. There are 3 things you can always be sure of in a John Wayne Movie. 1. The bad guy never gets away. 2. Theres a big bar fight in here somewhere and 3. The good guy always gets the girl. |

Never one for military protocol, Boyington was leader of the infamous "Black Sheep" Squadron of WW II. Pappy (in his F4U Corsair) was the highest scoring Marine Corps "Ace": with 28 confirmed "Kills" to his credit. Pappy was shot down, captured and remained a POW until the end of WWII. Because of who he was, he suffered horrible, daily torturing at the hands of the Japanese. Pappy Boyington is a legend to Marines everywhere it is people like him that seperate Marines from the other armed forces. |

Guys like this taught us that you could be funny without all the swearing and racial stuff. That true humor could endure the test of time. Hope was usually teamed with Bing crosby and Burns had his wife of many years, Gracie Allen. Hope with his trusty golf club and Burns with his ever ready cigar taught us that love and humor are universal and that it was ok to laugh at ourselves. Hope was awarded an Honorary medal of Honor for his selfless work with our overseas military forces, spending most of his Christmas holidays with troops in Viet Nam instead of stateside with his family. Witout these guys and others like them, it would be a much sadder world indeed. |
