The Modes
Cardinal Signs - Associated with action and practical form. They most directly express the qualities of their element as it represents both the positive and negative aspects. The cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.
Fixed Signs - Associated with stability and structure. They heighten determination, persistence, stubbornness and inflexibility. The fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.
Mutable Signs - Associated with change and movement. Represent flexibility and adaptability but can be unreliable and inconsistent. The mutable signs are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
