Hazard Team Combat Operation Exo-Armor
This first generation Federation Exo-Armor is a new approach to combat for the federation. The suit provides the pilot with access to ship-level weapon systems while maintaining the maneuverability of a high impulse strike fighter and the flexibility of a humanoid frame. The advanced electronics of the suit combined with the powerful offensive and defensive systems make the Exo a powerful new tool in the Federations struggle for peace.
Born in the waning days of the Federation-Dominion conflict the Exo saw very little service. Her design had just reached production mere weeks before the end of the conflict. However the design has continued to be produced in limited quantity as a preventative measure. The restless species of the Alpha quadrant, the constant threat of the Borg from the Delta quadrant, and the discovery of hostile extra dimensional beings such as Species 8472 have convinced the Federation Counsel to continue its development of the Exo.
The Exo's core is a large command sphere. Inside the sphere the pilot sits in a control chair with built in flight controls. The entire inner surface of the sphere is constructed with inline holomatrix micro-projectors. When the suit is powered up the inside of the sphere project a complete 360 by 360 hologram of the surrounding environment. Tactical data is overlaid on targets and allies. The Exo has the standard Federation transponder database so it can correctly identify friendly ships and threat forces. Free floating holo-screens contain flight information and operations data. A separate damage control systems can be activated at anytime with a vocal command. The Exo contains many systems found on larger Federation vessels such as a Bio-Neural computer Core designed by Commander Data at the Daystrom Institute. The Bio-Neural computer is a cross breed between his positronic matrix and standard Federation computer core's. The system has the ability to learn and adapt to its pilots fighting styles. However the systems are not sentient A.I., only computer generated A.I. like all ships computers.
The remainder of the Exo consists of a powerful poly-alloy robotic exoskeleton covered in multiple layers of poly-duranium and tritanium laminate treated with Ablative armor coating. The shield matrix generator located deep within the main body used Anti-Borg frequency generators that keep the shield harmonics randomized to prevent compromise. A small warp bubble generator and inline nacelle can provided limited warp velocity travel, but is used more often in warp jump, commonly revered to as Vector Jump. This attack pattern is based on the standard Picard Maneuver, but has been modified for Exo-level combat.
