Q: Is The Queen's Tailor affiliated with Lucasfilm Ltd.?

A: No. The Queen's Tailor is simply one artist trying to improve upon the mass merchandise world we live in.

Q: How long have you been making Amidala and Padme dolls?

A: Since 1999 after I saw The Phantom Menace and wanted an Amidala in her victory gown. (Note, this doll was made of sculpey and still stands as the centerpiece of my personal collection).

Q: What dolls do you use?

A: Mostly Hasbro Queen Amidala dolls. I've recently branched out into other areas and naturally other dolls are needed (Including Tyler, Gene, Brenda and Matt). Please look at individual galleries for more detailed descriptions of each piece.

Q: Are your dolls one of a kind originals?

A: Yes! No two dolls are exactly alike no matter how I try to "duplicate" them. Each one is different and I'm always improving upon my techniques. Each one is its own work of art.

Q: Are your dolls really worth the price?

A: Yes! Ask any of my frequent and returning customers and they will tell you that the detail in my dolls is not found anywhere else.

Q: Do you have "financing" available?

A: I have only recently begun to accept financing for very special pieces. Email to discuss the situation and we might be able to work something out to suit your financial needs.

Q: How long does it take to get a doll once I've ordered it?

A: That varies. Email me to see where my order book is at the moment. If I have many orders, it could take longer than normal (which is listed on individual pages from estimated hours of work).

Q: Do you share your patterns?

A: No. Due to unfortunate incidents in the past, I no longer share my patterns.

Q: What advice would you give to the serious collector?

A: Have patience! Remember, there is a lot of "stuff" out there, but if you know what you want, wait for it (or even request it). Quality is always better than quantity. ;-)
