ST ANNES PARK
The Oak Walk
As kids we ran wild in St Annes park.
This was originally the Guinness family estate of Lord Ardilaun.
Lord Ardilaun looking somewhat worried
Perhaps he had a premonition of us gurriers running wild around "his gaff"
This amazing kingdom of forest glade ; This hill up, hill down world was our personal
Narnia , our Tara, our Viking lookout across the causeway at Bull Island to Howth where the tide only came in on the strict understanding that you yourself were going home.......
Looking south to the Pigeon House from Sainters where we transformed our suburban lives into a
dreamworld unimaginable to any present day Jedi warrior.
This Eden by the sea was called St Annes after the holy well of the same name in the grounds and lent it's name to the now public
Park
Now some of you might be wondering who I am while others will be overwhelmed with indifference but for those who are martyrs to their curiousity
have a look at me here in me confo outfit and if you recognise the little nerd
and guess correctly I'll come clean
Here is a List of who's been here.
