Sea Scouting
Scouting was initially begun as a movement focusing on the land and conservation.

People soon began to realise that some children showed a particular interest in the ocean and that land scouting did not serve their needs fully.  Sea scouting was begun to accomodate them.

As sea scouts we follow the same law and make the same promise as the land scouts.  We still believe in the importance of the land, and respect it accordingly.

Our programmes tend to focus on water activities and we wear navy blue uniforms.
The Sea Scout Emblem
The South African Sea Scout emblem.  The Springbok (our national animal) specifies that we are South African, and the anchor specifies that we are Sea Scouts
