This photo shows the double fence with the corners laid out at a 45 degree angle at the corner guard towers. This is also a good view of the staging area portion of the compound.
Notice that the perimeter access road has a fair amount of vehicle tracks- I'm sure that this area gets patrolled quite freqently by the post security force. Most of the 'visitors' though, are deer as evidenced by the abundance of thier tracks. The range areas of Camp Grayling are marked as wildlife refuges with no hunting allowed. So you can't use the excuse of "I'm just hunting..." as an excuse to carry a rifle (or bow, or ??) with you here if you decide to do a little 'trail-riding' to explore the area with your 4x4 (...thank god for jeeps! A good truck is needed to drive these trail roads- a car will have trouble.), motorcycle, mountain bike, or your favorite hiking boots.
I'm sure that you would likely be 'escorted' out if you are found while training exercises are being conducted. Especially some weekends during the summer, Camp Grayling becomes a very busy place.
