Introduction

If you're a true performance driving enthusiast, someone looking for an alternative to the $50k+ new sports cars available, or a collector of rare, low mileage sports cars, then this is the car for you.  The Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo was one of the most technically advanced vehicles when it was first introduced in 1991. With the car"s force-fed power of twin turbochargers, twin intercoolers, all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, electronically adjustable suspension and an electronically tunable exhaust, it still remains a force to be reckoned with. While driving the car, stepping on the gas pedal will immediately rocket you to 60 mph in just 5.4 seconds.  The turbos spool  with virtually no lag.  With the All-Wheel-Drive, one feels totally in control of the car and carving up back-country roads is a pleasure.  The All-Wheel-Steering engages above 30 mph, which enhances the car's ultimate handling capability and sense of refinement.  When this car came out in the fall of 1990, Motor Trend magazine told us to "think of it as an affordable Ferrari 348." With the relatively rarity of these cars, they are destined to become collectibles.  This car in particular is a prime candidate for collectors, being quite possibly the lowest mileage Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo in the world.  With only 2,500 original miles, it is in pristine condition and looks like it should still be on the showroom floor!

Cosmetic Condition

You simply won't find an RT Turbo in better original condition than this car.  The original Emerald Green paint is nearly flawless, as are all the original body panels.  The pictures below will tell the story.

Mechanical Condition

This RT Turbo is in excellent mechanical condition, and needs absolutely nothing.  The turbos spool quickly and evenly, and the 300 hp this car develops will press you into the seat quickly.  With all-wheel-drive and all-wheel steering, the car handles exceptionally well in all weather conditions, and is rock-solid stable at higher speeds.   The car is started up and driven periodically to keep the seals and gaskets lubricated, and the oil is changed every 6 months with MobileOne Synthetic.  This car still has all of its original parts, right down to the original Goodyear Eagle tires.  The only only thing that is not original is the battery, which was replaced just a couple of months ago. The Getrag 5-speed transmission shifts smoothly, with no grinding or slop whatsoever.  The electronically-controlled suspension adjusts between "tour" and "sport" modes, and significantly changes its handling characteristics, all with the push of a button.  The exhaust system can also be changed from "tour" to "sport" mode, inducing a menacing growl.  The anti-lock brakes, all-wheel drive, and other systems are in excellent condition with no issues.  All of the HVAC systems (heat, A/C, defrosters) work just as they should, and the automatic climate control, with it's large digital screen readouts, is a trick feature.  The AC is Arctic cold!  The Stereo system works perfectly, including all 6 speakers, the integrated steering wheel radio controls, and CD player.  All of the power accessories like the antenna, windows, locks, mirrors, etc all work as they should.  Most Stealths will have some issues with their weak points, including broken power antenna, cruise control, SRS light on in the dash, grinding trans, etc.  This car has NONE of those issues.

Interior Condition

All of the cream colored leather is in gorgeous condition, with no cracking, tears, or signs of wear.  The driver's side bolster (the primary "trouble spot" in these interiors) is excellent, with no signs of the typical rubbing marks this spot normally gets.  The driver's seat has several power adjustments and also a manual memory feature.  The rear seats appear as new.   The carpet savers are in excellent shape, and the carpet is clean, with no stains, matting, or unusual wear.  The dash, door panels, headliner, visors, console, and other items are all in like-new condition.  All of the gauges work properly, including all the lights.  The stereo system performs excellent and sounds good.  The rear cargo area is mint, with no unusual scuffs or scratches.  The spare has never been touched.  You will definitely enjoy surrounding yourself with the interior of this car.  As mentioned previously, this car looks like it should still be on the showroom floor.  It even still smells new!

Flaws

Anybody trying to sell you a "perfect" car with no flaws isn't being truthful with you.  I want you to know exactly what you are buying, so I will try to point out the flaws with this car, however minute they may be.  The main thing is a scuff on the paint on the passenger side mirror, shown below.  There are also a couple of very small rock chips on the hood, so small that they are not noticeable unless you are very close to the car and specifically looking for them.  There are no other flaws on this car that I am aware of.  However, you are more than welcome to inspect this car yourself.  I would strongly encourage you to see this car in person.

Additional Information

I am the second owner of this car.  I acquired it in February 2005.  Its original owner was in Florida.  This car has never seen rain, snow, or inclement weather of any kind.  In the pictures below, you can see the paint daubs placed on different components in the engine by the factory.  These usually wear off after only a few thousand miles, but are still visible here.  I also have the original window sticker, owners manual, and other documents to go with the car.  Also, if you purchase the car, I will include the custom fit car cover that has been used while the car is in the garage.
