The Steel City Bassmasters, located in Granite City, IL, have just
come off of our 15th full season of tournament competition. We
are affiliated with the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society and
conducted 12 tournaments in 2004. The 2005 tournament schedule
has 12 chapter tournaments, placed throughout the states of
Illinois, Missouri and Kentucky.

We
conduct monthly winter meetings on Sunday afternoons at the Knights of
Columbus Hall in Granite City, IL. Our yearly membership dues of $40.00 grants each
member full voting privileges and the rights to unlimited tournament participation. Our atmosphere is pretty relaxed. Tournaments
include two-man team and individual formats. All individual weights are
recorded for credit toward the Angler of the Year title, which is given
to our top member at the annual awards meeting held in January. We invite guests to fish with our members
in one tournament of their choice. Each member also has the right to bring
a different guest to each event.
Two of our annual events are open to prospective
members without having to fish with a current member of the club. They
are both held at Table Rock Lake and are 2-man team events. See our 2005
schedule of events for dates. We invite all bass fishermen to come and
see what we are all about. Our club stresses friendly competition and this
laid back approach has served us well. If you live in the St. Louis area

bass fishing in general makes for a genuinely good time. We try to balance
overnight trips with close, one day events so that a member's club participation
