As you can tell, I quit updating this site a long time ago. My love for the Steelers is still the same, however, the free time I once enjoyed is long gone. I will leave this site up as a piece of history in my life. Thanks to all who visited.

What's New?

PROGNOSTIC PONDERINGS

  1. I would like to welcome Casey Hampton, the first pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers this year. People will question whether they should have taken a cornerback or a quarterback, but no one will question this guys heart. He should be a big-time player in this league.

  2. There has been a lot of talk amongst the "experts" that the Steelers could have traded down even further and still acquired Hampton. Could they take that chance? I don't think so. Once Dan Morgan was off the board, he was the team's top priority.

  3. In 2 or 3 years, people will be praising the pick of Kendrell Bell in round 2. I think he will make a big impact this year as well. He has the motor to be a great special teamer, and he he has the speed to be a terrific LB.

  4. Although I will sorely miss Levon Kirkland, I think we will see Earl Holmes in the pro-bowl as his replacement. A little younger, a little faster, and a little more desire at this point in his career.

  5. Jeff Hartings is going to the pro-bowl as well. New position, new team, no problem. As hard as it is to imagine someone taking over Dermontti Dawson's spot, Hartings is going to carry on the tradition of athletic centers, and lead this improving line back to dominance.

  6. I can't wait to see what new offensive line coach Russ Grimm is going to do with draft picks Mathias Nkwenti, and Chukky Okobi. They are talented and raw. The perfect projects for the new coach to work with. He said he would have been happy to get either of these picks on day 2 of the draft. He got them both, and now he can showcase his talent by turning them into future starters.

  7. It looks like Richard Huntley is being given his walking papers. It's too bad he never found his niche with the Steelers. He was either injured, or fumbling the ball during his tenure with the Steelers. He also showed flashes of brilliance. He is going to be a salary cap casualty, but I think some other team is going to pick up a very good RB.

  8. Plaxico Burress is working out, and he seems to be progressing well in his rehab from wrist surgery. He seems intent on proving the Steelers were wise in choosing him as their first pick last year. I was excited last year when they picked him, and I am just as excited this year to see how he has progressed. A man his size can really open up the passing game.

  9. The much maligned Kordell Stewart will be re-aligned this year. He has an offensive coordinator he likes (Mike Mularky), he finally has a quarterback coach (Tom Clements), and he has on offensive line that is ready to protect him. I can see him as the starting QB for the AFC in the pro-bowl.

  10. Steelers in the pro-bowl this year-
    • Kordell Stewart
    • Earl Holmes
    • Lee Flowers
    • Joey Porter
    • Wayne Gandy
    • Jeff Hartings
    • Chad Scott
