I'm playing with some code at the moment, sorta like a Worms thing. Mace (from #gamedev on afternet) was working on a Scorched Earth clone, and so I decided to see if I could match him. Check out what I've done so far - Bomb Screens, and Bomb Test (no need for allegro.dll). Space drops a bomb, Tab makes a new map, alt-enter goes fullscreen (may not work for you!) Esc closes.

Yeah, yeah, another server switch. This one should be "the one" for a good long time ^_^. I'm going to maintain the crosswinds one as a sort of mirror for now.

Added more tutorials. Went over my links and updated them. I should start advertising this page soon.

After having a hard time getting C++ working under Dev-C++ I decided it was a good time to start writing tutorials again. I'll be having tutorials on how to set up and use Allegro in the near future, as well as game programming tutorials using Allegro.

Well, crosswinds finally got back to me. Apparently they were e-mail bombed and couldn't get back to me right away. I'm thinking there was more to it since my zips were all corrupted, but whatever. They're working again, so thats a good thing. I'll upload the timing stuff.. I don't know how I'll work out the versioning on it.. I want to just blow the old ones away. No need in keeping them. I'm also thinking about blowing away the old backups too. Whats the use of them?
I've also come up with a crappy new way to do animations - and it works, so I guess thats something. I'm probably going to go back to the old animate demo and slap it around a bit.

AGH!! All of my zips are corrupted now. None of the stuff on the downloads page will work. I've emailed crosswinds about it but i haven't had any response. I'm glad none of it was really worthwhile. I've already come up with a replacement for my timing stuff, and it works even better than it ever has. Anyways.. If you want to look at my stuff, e-mail me at myorke99@hotmail.com

HA! Finally gave geocities the boot. Welcome to my new, improved host, crosswinds!

May as well make my picture folders public. Nothing else going on here. Beware though, after you look at so many parts of this page, geocities decides its transferred enough data and won't let you look at it for an hour or so. Stupid geocities crap.
PICS/ Hand drawn art. Two aren't mine, lets see if you can pick them out.
PICS/CAT/ More hand drawn art. This stuff is focused on a single topic, a game I'm thinking about making. The game looks like it could be promising.. We'll see what the sketches have to offer.
PICS/OTHER/ Pictures of this and that. Some are REALLY SCARY, so watch it.
I'm running out of room on this site. I'll probably just blow away all of the 'previous versions' of my demos. I don't need them, and I doubt anyone even looks at them anyways. I'll post it if i do.

Still an ugly page, yep. I'm working on an Asteroids Project atm, and I'm hoping I can get it done without losing interest. The design and pseudocode are done, and the code is about 1/3 done in its pretested state. Shouldn't be too bad. Anyways.

Yeargh.. This is some ugly ass site. I need some pictures.
I took the animate demo and totally redid it today. It was a peice of garbage, now its not to bad. It still needs work, but the way it is now its useable. Take a look if ya want, I don't care.

Damn, this site needs a facelift. I'm updating because now I can program again - in Windows. I've finally gotten Allegro working in MSVC and now I'm converting the downloads over. It's just a matter of adding one or two lines and changing a constant here and there. Things are certainly looking up.

Here I am, again. The page doesn't get updated very often, but then again, I don't really do anything worth talking about very often either. I'm not even sure why I have a page up in the first place, but oh well. I'm starting to program a bit again, but its going to be slow going until I A) get a computer of my own - I'll have a p2-400 at the end of the month, and B) get something worth programming. As I earn more cash, I'll be able to buy more stuff, which means more chances of something getting done. We'll see what the future holds.
So why the update this time? I've revised my timer demo a bit - the game speed regulation routines have been seperated into their own modules again. It makes the game code itself look much cleaner. I have no idea what I want to do next. When I get a decent doable idea, i'll post again. Later.

Well, apparently Geocities won't let me link to my picture from gdnet forums. That sucks. 'Nuff said.
[ Tuesday, Nov 27, 2001 ]
Got a background now, and I updated my links. I'm thinking about making OpenGL versions of all my demos, just for practice. We'll see.
Oh yeah, I fixed my email address. Woo.

Heh heh. Damn, this page is ugly as sin. I sure know how to procrastinate.
I've just updated the Timer Demo and uploaded it to the page. It works like I always wanted it to work now! I'm also working on Fighter Doc, my reverse-engineering specs for Capcom's fighting series. I'm doing solid work on it, and may have some demos and tests to upload soon to bolster the information I'm finding out in it.
I've updated Fighter Doc and now have some pseudocode functions for the input move checker. They're not quite complete, and would work perfectly fine if it weren't for blasted charge moves. Argh!

I updated the final version of the Animate Demo. I'll be doing a map demo next. SG out.
[ Thursday, June 28, 2001 ]
Well, I uploaded Animate Demo, which is what I've been working on recently, as well as a bunch of other junk, to the download section. I'll be putting subsequent versions of the Animate Demo online as they get done - you'll be able to see how I built each step off the last. If you think I could program things a better way, tell me For Frig's Sake. Running around in circles is only fun for a little while.
I've tried to pretty up this crap page a bit tonight, maybe eventually I'll get it back to the half-decent state my old one was in, 4 years back. Only time will tell.

This is my webpage. It sure does suck.
Aside from that, I figure I might as well put some content in here. The only thing I really have to show off is my Sparkles Demo. It's in the download section.
