My daughter is 2 years old. She loves the bunnies and always asks to go see them. She doesn't like to hold them or any other kind of animal because she is scared to have them to close to her. She has been getting braver about petting them. I recently got her a cavy (Sassy) who sits in one spot while she pets her and feeds her lettuce. That has helped her warm up to animals just a tiny bit.
Jody has a love for cats. I would like to get her one some day. I believe her love for cats comes from my Grandmother Jody, who she is named after. Jody's favorite color is the same as hers as well.
It won't be long before you will be seeing her at shows. I can't wait, She will love it. She would love it now but I can see her wanting to put her toy bunny on the show table with everyone else's real bunnies because there is no way she will hold a real bunny at this point. I know that everyone will love her as many of you already do.
So.... What is Jody up to?
Jody talks about everything she sees and does. She has a favorite stuffed bunny and a baby doll that goes everywhere with us. Jody, the bunny & her baby doll play all kinds of games with all of her other toys. She has discovered the My Little Pony toys and she wants all the colors they come in. Another new thing that she has come across is the Barbie Dolls. I have decided that now is a great time to start her Barbie collection that all little girls have while she doesn't know the difference between the $5.00 ones and the $13.00 ones. She loves Blues Clues and Charlie Brown. Those are popular videos in our house.
Jody loves to talk. If she doesn't get to talk on the real phone much then she talks to us on her toy phones. Katina seems to call a lot on these little phones of hers.
Jody loves music. She is always dancing around and singing. She has a CD that she listens to quite a bit, it has lots of children's songs on it that I grew up with. Jody knows her ABC's and lots of other songs that she has learned. One of her favorites are Ring Around The Rosies.

Every time we are in the car going some where, Jody is forever saying "Oh, no! Look out for the car, mom! Your going to hit it! Look out, mom, there's a tree! Don't hit the tree! " She does this everywhere we go! LOL! It doesn't matter how far away from the road a tree is, she is so sure that I'm going to hit it. She wants to make sure that I see it.
When we are in the store she yells out to people, "Look out people! We're coming! Your going to get hit! Move,Look out! Mom, your going to hit them! Look out everyone!" How cute is that. I try to reassure her that we aren't going to hit anyone in the car or with the cart but she doesn't believe me. I don't know where she got that from. LOL again.

Yesterday my mother babysat Jody while I went to the school and then took Kaleb to his doctor appointment. On the way to my mothers, I was telling her that Grandma has a brand new house. (My mother had her double wide taken away and a realy nice house built.) This mourning during breakfast, Jody looks up at me and says "My Grandma Robyn lives in a castle!"
Wynken, Blynken,
And Nod
Wynken, Blynken, and Nod one night
Sailed off in a wooden shoe-----
Sailed on a river of crystal light,
Into a sea of dew.
"Where are you going, and what do you wish?"
The old moon asked the three.
"We have come to fish for the herring fish
That live in this beautiful sea;
Nets of silver and gold have we!
Said Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod.
The old moon laughed and sang a song,
As they rocked in the wooden shoe,
And the wind that sped them all night long
Ruffled the waves of dew.
The little stars were the herring fish
That lived in that beautiful sea----
"Now cast your nets wherever you wish----
Never afeard are we";
So cried the stars to the fisherman three:
Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod.
All night long their nets they threw
To the stars in the twinkling foam----
Then down from the skies came the wooden shoe,
ringing the fisherman home;
'Twas all so pretty a sail it seemed
As if it could not be,
And some folks thought 'twas a dream they'd dreamed
Of sailing that beautiful sea----
But I shall name you the fisherman three:
Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod.
Wynken and Blynken are two little eyes,
And Nod is a little head,
And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies
Is a wee one's trundle-bed.
So shut your eyes while mother sings
Of wonderful sights that be,
And you shall see the beautiful things
As you rock in the misty sea,
Where the old shoe rocked the fisherman three:
Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod
