Howard County 4-H Camp is located at the Western Maryland 4-H Center in Swanton, Maryland. The center boasts a 25-acre lake, natural resources center, recreational facilities, archery and riflery ranges, wooded trails, a waterfront Council Circle, a low elements obstacle course, and camping area. For one week every summer, campers, counselors, and adult staff members enjoy campfires, activities, and competitions amidst these surroundings. Campers ages 8-13 are assigned to one of nine Native American tribes within which they compete for the Golden Feather. Campers learn to work together with their tribes, building team spirit, cooperation, personal growth, and friendships. The counselors and adult staff continue a long history of memorable camp experiences and traditions that each of us treasures. CAMP IS FUN!!! :O) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
