Almer Charles Benoit was born 26 March 1883 in DeSoto, Crawford County, Wisconsin. He died 20 April 1964 in Pittsville, Wood, Wi. Almer's parents were Chris Bolster and Maria Nilsdtr who are mentioned on my Bolstad/Bolster site. As it has turned out with my research, Almer and Mabel were actually 6th cousins.

Mabel was born 20 November 1895 in Ferryville, Crawford County, Wi. Her parents were Robert Mathew/Matt/ Johnston born 14 October 1848 in Canada and Kari Eriksdotter Svensøy aka Carrie Forthun born 09 September 1862 Svendsøy, Luster, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. Mabel attended Ferryville School. Mabel's family can be found here.
Mabel married Almer C. Bolster about 1916 and had three children: Earl, Eleanor known as Fay and Kathleen known as Kay. Mabel left home with the children in 1923 and moved to California where she lived until she died in 1954.
This is the cabin in Pittsville, Wisconsin of Laura Mabel Johnston and Almer Charles Bolster. This is their youngest daughter, Kay, in the walker. This would be about 1922 or 1923.
Kay Bolster married Robert Dalrymple. I would love to get in touch with the descendants of Kay who died in 1985 in Ventura, California. I have acquired some old letters written by Kay to her mother which I would like Kay's sons, or grandchildren to have. Please contact me! I have made a number of attempts to find these cousins.
