Camping: Jones Lake

The Jones Lake access road is located off of the Trans-Canada highway about an hour and a half East of Vancouver.

The road up the mountain isn’t too rough, although after a few hard rains it may require a vehicle with clearance over 4wheel drive.

Great place to camp. We didn’t have luck fishing, but the sites are worth it.

We happened to go up there on one of the hotter days so far that year (July 2003).

We managed to work on a tan that day and watched the snowcaps melt off the mountains in the background.

Sounds like a good trip eh….well, we did get nailed with a wind storm that dumped some hail on us and ripped down our tarp.

That next day was pretty miserable….all our wood was wet and we were either tired, cold or too hung over to get it going without siphoning gas!

Anyhow, here ya go….
