Looking for an All wheel drive vehicle that does really well on economy? Mercedes-Benz, BMW watch out. Over
the last three or four years, Cadillac has been reinventing
itself as a younger, and sharp brand.
This renaissance has been led by the designers, who have given all cars
carrying the hallowed American luxury badge, razor-sharp and distinctive
lines.
Competitors for this vehicle are Lexus RX350; Acura MDX; Mercedes ML350; and BMW X5 3.0i
Nice changes for '07, Fresh Interior, Power lift gate in the rear, Narrower entry step in width, and a much better job on the interior. A better glove compartment. It rides a lot better than its competition. The V6 is the way to go.
The V8 is really much more powerful, kind of in the sports car killer mode. But the 275 HP engine would have been better for economy. The present one is from the XLR and really goes. It would be my choice if the economy were up about 5 mpg. (These are personal opinions) The V8 would be the engine of choice for those that want a sport sedan with the utility of an Escalade, but in a more usable package.
Part luxury sedan, part SUV, the stunning Cadillac SRX artfully
combines impressive versatility with incredible performance. Meticulously
tested at the legendary Nurburgring racetrack in Germany, the SRX has
proven that it can handle even the most challenging road conditions with
remarkable ease. Choose from either a V6 or V8 power train, along with
optional all-wheel drive and experience its stunning capabilities
yourself. Power folding technology transforms it from a five to a
seven-passenger vehicle in mere seconds and the rear seats can also be
completely folded down to maximize cargo capacity. Look for the
breakthrough SRX in early 2004.Built with a car-like unibody but featuring
the higher profile of an SUV, the SRX splits the difference between car
and light truck. Its seats are three inches higher than a luxury sedan's,
three inches below a typical SUV.
Gadgets and innovations: The optional third-row seat flips and
folds electronically; innovative rear cargo systems are offered on
five-passenger models. The sunroof covers most of the vehicle and has a
power shade. Magnetic Ride Control, which GM bills as the world's fastest
reacting suspension system, also is offered.
Base price: Estimated prices starting in the mid $30's and going up from there.
