The Rocky Horror Show has been jumping to the left for 25 years, celebrating sweet transvestites, fish-net stockings, time warps and, of course, Brad and Janet. And then there's Frank'N'Furter - the transsexual from Transylvania.
Immortalized by Tim Curry in the film version of the musical, many stars have lined up to roll on the fishnets and tread the boards in stilettos, including Craig McLachlan, Jason Donovan and Marcus Graham.
Now, Tim Ferguson of Don't Forget Your Toothbrush fame is playing the mad scientist obsessed by building the perfect man in the latest incarnation of the show. The New Rocky Horror Show will open in Sydney on July 29.
