A VERY SPECIAL TRIPOD TRIBUTE

"In April 1998, Fiona Scott Norman, DJ, critic, lover of Pork Pies and radio presenter for RRR's Trash Is My Life asked us if we wanted to be part of something special. We were busy that day but we did agree to write and perform songs for the guest celebrities of Trash Is My Life...Raw, uncut and in their faces..As in 'infront' of them. Trash Is My Life is a one hour B-Grade pop culture show on Saturday afternoons at 4pm, broadcast from Melbourne's one and only 102.7 RRR FM. At least six people cram the tiny studio - Fiona at the helm, a guest host, the celebrity and TRIPOD (gathered around the spare mic)."

The TIM Song

Lyrics by TRIPOD
Music by other people

(To the tune of 60's classic "I Will Follow Him")

I will follow Tim
Follow Tim wherever he may go
He set the world on fire
Was every young woman's desire
The good looking one.

(Seamless transition into Andrew LLoyd Webber's "I Don't Know How To Love Tim")

I don't know how to love Tim
Is he hardcore or is he Ray Martin?
He has changed
He's really changed
From Military garb to coloured suits
And crash helmets in those Nintendo ads
And in Funky Squad
He had quite a bod
When he wore tight jeans
On our TV screens
He got to meet Jane Kennedy
What's she really like?

(Key change into DAAS classic version of "Oh lord, Please Don't Let Tim Be Misunderstood")

Baby, do you understand Tim now
Sometimes things get a little mad
He should have his own late night talk show
Afterall, he's an author, actor, singer, great debater.... and a dad
He's just a soul whose intentions are good
O lord, O lord, O lord please don't let Tim be misunderstood

(Back for the big victorious ending!!)

We will follow Tim
Follow Tim wherever he may go
So let's tip our hat to the dude
Who tired of being so rude
The good-looking one......
Tim Ferguson !!!!
