Peter took "the non-traditional route, by starting in soaps and using that as a film acting tool and listening to the people doing it for a long time" instead of starting off at an acting school. Phelps says Stingers will "..have its own, distinctive look and feel. It's got more naturalistic kind of camera movements... I have had reservations over the past 10 years about doing a series [but] you're going into Simpson Le Mesurier knowing that it's going to be a good team and they do quality stuff."
