WIBW will be takeing over the 580 AM frequency full time dur to the longtime share agreement with KKSU is ending. KKSU is going off the air as part of the settlement regarding WIBW?s rights to air Kansas football games.

Changes are starting to take place for the move in of KCSX from Moberly to Lee?s Summit

1190 KPHN Kansas City has completed its  switch from business-talk to Radio Disney. The move means "Imus in the Morning" has lost another affiliate.

Frequency Change. General Manager Craig Colbach  announced on the Morning Show that 97 Country will move to 94.5 in late August  or early September, and will be known as...94 Country. (They even played a new  94 Country jingle...sounded A LOT like KBEQ's 104.3FM  jingle package out of  Kansas City). 94 Country will debut its' new logo and merchandise at Country  Stampede. Colboch also mentioned that the money that they are receiving for making the move will be used to pay for the station to go completely digital.  They will also  use it for contests/promotions in what Radio Rich described as  "major market money".
        
KSYN 92.5 PD Howie  Black has announced that cross-town Power 107 PD Jason Knight and on-air  talent Shawn Mikkels will join the station nights and late nights  respectively.  (allaccess)

Mix93.3 is now airing "New Music Generation" a  syndicated radio show with Matt Blades  who does weeknights 6p-11p for MIX 93.3  in Kansas City.

RandyMiller isthe new morning guy on Hot Talk 1510 from 6:30 till 10am.

-KCMO-A/KANSAS CITY morning show producer/weekender SCOTT  ALLEN
MILLER exits forown show. Scott will take over mornings at new Talker  KFAQ-AM
(formerly Classic CountryKVOO-AM) in Tulsa, OK.

-ABC  Buys KPHN-AM/Kansas City For Radio Disney. The station, which was sold by
Bill Johnson's KCBR-AM LP for $3.8 million and broadcasts with 5kw during the  day
and 250 watts at night, will flip from Business News to ABC's 24-hour Children's
format. The addition of KPHN will place Radio Disney in 51 markets  nationwide. Bill
Schutz and John Pierce acted as the brokers for the  transaction.

- Rythmic CHR Channel 977 (KQCH) moved from 97.7 to 94.1  in Omaha to replace
MAX country.Journal's Regional Spanish programming, heard  right now on the AM
band KBBX 1420 in Omaha,will move to 97.7 and serve much  of eastern Neb. and
western Iowa with regional spanish programming. The  Spanish move will take place on
May 10th, right now KQCH is being broadcaston  both 97.7 and 94.1.

-KCPT is in the process of  installing a new broadcast antenna, and will be operating at
lower power until  construction is complete. What this means for our loyal viewers is
that KCPT's  digital channel 18 will not be broadcasting during the construction. In
addition, you might experience some difficulty in receiving channel 19 through  this
transition period. We appreciate your patience and look forward to  serving you with an
improved broadcast signal after this  transition.

-KKJO (K-JO) 105.5 has replaced Taylor Campbell as co-host  of their morning
program. B. J. Scott returns to the co-host chair with Gregg  Lynn. Taylor's links have
been removed from the KKJO website. Taylor's last  day was May 3, Gregg did the
morning show solo last week, and B.J. was on the  air today. B. J. Scott, along with
Rick Austin, hosted K-JO's morning show for several years. Scott had left the station
shortly after the move from 105.1 to  105.5 in 2000, only to return last year in a
production role (and occasional  hosting of remotes).
