Stone Fox was a hard rock band from San Francisco. They became a
band in the early 90's. Stone Fox broke up 6 months later, but was reunited again and signed at Linda
Perry's record label Rockstar Records. Linda
Perry is usually refered to as the former singer of 4 Non
Blondes, but is also a solo artist with two records behind her, "In Flight" and "After Hours". She also produced 2-Lane Blacktop, The album "Stone Fox" was produced in Rockstar Records. They changed label 1996, the same year their album was released. They
signed up with Bad Taste and John
Roecker got to produce their next album -
Dirty Pillows, which was released 97. It includes a song featuring Exene Cervenka
from the band Auntie Christ. Janis
Tanaka, bass, has toured with Auntie
Christ, L7, Hammers of Misfortune,
(formaly known as Unholy Cadaver) and with Pink. Besides touring with Auntie Christ, they've also
played an opening slot for Metallica on their West Coast Tour. They recorded their latest album Totally Burnt at
Man's Ruin Records 98. Producer was Bart Thurber. The former
drummer Brent Hoover was now replaced by Chris Scamman. This
album is actually a remix from an album called Burnt. It was the first record they made
and there are only 1000 copies of it. However, Totally Burnt contains some other songs as
well. Those songs has been taken from cassette tapes. Most of the songs were written
between 92 and 95 by Stone Fox and Ophelia
