The Poetry of Life that is illustrated thru Family is the fact,,,That no One is ever born into Life alone. Everyone has shared the bond of family, at least at birth. And for many people it is a bond that will follow them throughout life. And is the most important bond of all.Success in Life whether measured in , family or love.Is often determined by the "right" attitude.Unfortunately, maintaining a positive outlook, isn't always easy.Sometimes, in spite of our best efforts, Life just seems to bring us down.Inspiration, however, is rarely far away - if we are but willing to look for it.

Welcome to our Sturges family home page. Won't you come inside and make your self comfortable, while you take a look around and meet my family. This website was created in hopes to be a place where anyone can come and sit back and relax awhile . Maybe enjoy a story or two, and find out about a common hobby or interest we may share. Or just simply to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As you can see I am beginning to make some changes, so bare with me while dust out the cobwebs and begin to build new pages.
You never know what you will find inside these pages, from one visit to the next.
So, Enjoy your visit , and please feel free to come back as often as you like. Hope you like the story below ,It is my personal favorite. And one that I read from time to time to remind me that life can be a wonderful thing, if we can just see it thru a childs eye.
Sincerely , Sandy aka Sparkplug
Big Mud Puddles and Dandelions .
When I look at a patch of
dandelions, I see a bunch of weeds that are going to take over my yard.
My kids see flowers for Mom and blowing white fluff you can wish on.
When I look at an old drunk and he smiles at me, I see a smelly dirty person who probably wants money and I look away. My kids see someone smiling at them and they smile back.
When I hear music I love, I know I can't carry a tune and don't have much rhythm so I sit self-consciously and listen. My kids feel the beat and move to it. They sing out the words. If they don't know them, they make up their own.
When I feel wind on my face, I brace myself against it. I feel it messing up my hair and pulling me back when I walk. My kids close their eyes, spread their arms and fly with it, until they fall to the ground laughing.
When I pray, I say thee and thou and grant me this, give me that.
My kids say, "Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my friends. Please keep
the bad dreams away tonight. Sorry, I don't want to go to Heaven yet.
I would miss my Mommy and Daddy."
When I see a mud puddle I step around it. I see muddy shoes and dirty carpets. My kids sit in it. They see dams to build, rivers to
cross and worms to play with.
I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from? Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.(Author Unknown)
