Tastes Like Teen Sputum #1 April 1994 8 pages, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" front cover: by DVM My favorite DVM cover so far--lots of detail, and an appearance (on the girl's T-shirt) by Death, from the comic book Sandman. Does DVM like that comic? page 2: "Suicide" by Clark Dissmeyer A 1982 strip in which a stick-figure tries repeatedly to off himself. "Yeeks!" page 3: "Flockies" by DVM Fanatical fans of A Flock of Seagulls. DVM has trouble drawing that weird Seagulls haircut. page 4: "Something about Music at the Office" by DVM DVM has trouble drawing musical notes, too. The black dot goes on the left of the staff, Dave, and the slanted downward part on the right, not vice-versa. page 5: "Generic Musical Humor" by DVM A bespectacled crowd, which includes Paulette Patterson (see below) and a robot. "Any music your parents like!" "Whine on, Morrissey, whine on!" "Dolly Parton and her big boobs!" Etc. pages 3-5: "Paulette Patterson" by DVM At the bottom of the above pages. pages 6-7: "Arnie Bear and the Three Bears" by Gordon Nelson 1990 "tail." Arnie breaks into the Three Bears' house, eats their bowls of human meat, drinks Nasty Ass Vodka, belches, and pukes all over Papa, Mama and Baby Bear. pages 6-7: "Whatever Happened to Those New Wave Cartoon Characters of Yesteryear?" by DVM At the bottom of the above pages. "Would you like fries with your order, sir, as if I give a shit?" page 8: "Clip-Art Blow-Up" by Clark Dissmeyer, DVM and Marc Myers Jam page. Right-wing sharks. A bicyclist with a yard-long schlong. Richard Nixon's grave marker. Home |
