I have but 4 passions in life, dogs, my husband, singing and art. I got stared in dog shows and training when I was 10, started grooming when I was 13, went through Vet Tech training when I was 17 and am now here, an owner/handler. We got into Dachshunds by mistake! I liked the breed but was nervous about their back and house training problems, I wanted a Doberman. My husband, Ross, had wanted a Dachshund and forbid me to have a Doberman, but I would not agree on the Dachshund until now, 2 years later. I had always told him that if we got one, it had to be a long hair and a Black and Tan, I just thought they looked more like "dogs", and had the Doberman markings. So, once we moved from our apartment into our home, I began a search for a show dog. I came across an ad for Mini Dachshunds, and on the bottom of the ad was, 5 month old standard long hairs available, it was a huge plus that there was one Black and Tan left. So, I e-mailed, set a price, made an appointment to go out, and low and behold-we had our first little hot dog dog. We are located in Bath, PA, and although right now we only offer stud service, we hope to, in the future, have a litter or two per year. I also offer all breed handling classes, training classes, grooming classes, breeder referrals, behavioral consult, home made treats, and on the occason, low cost vaccines.
