"Anakin" Standard Black and Tan Longhair Male born 11/27/01

Anakin came to live with us on May 25, 2002.  At the time he was 6 months old and a wonderful show prospect. I came across the ad for puppies on accident, answered it, and less then a week later, we drove the 109 miles to pick him up.  He was born in Laceyville, PA at Kathleen Lecuyer's Hillside Kennel.  It was love at first sight between Anakin and us.  My husband, Ross, loved him on sight, and thought he had the most wonderful temperament!  Anakin is very child like, he likes to touch your face with his paws, if you are ignoring him, he WILL make you pay attention, and tries to help out.  Anakin is, in my point of view, as close to the Dachshund standard as I could get. He shows correct top line, gait, head, muzzle, ear set, angulation, and all around structure.  He is our "founder" dog, as we will be showing him and then he will be available for stud to approved bitches.
