| The 1685 society was formed in 1998 with the aim to recreate the Redcoats and Rebels of the Monmouth Rebellion and bring this brief but bloody campaign and the last pitched battle on English soil to the public's attention. Now defunct the original members are now still in touch and still helping with various 1680s and 90s projects |
