I never imagined in my life that I would have a child in Heaven.. that your Birthday would come and you not be here to celebrate it.. and now, the 4th has come and I am slowly beginning to realize that you will have a "Happy Birthday" and we have to find a way to be happy too.
I imagine you with the angels.. I imagine you watching over us and whispering.. "mommy and daddy, I am ok, Please be happy for me, Please be patient and someday you will be able to celebrate this day right along side of me in Heaven". So sweetie, that is what we will do. We will light 4 candles and make a wish for you and pray for you and know in our hearts that you are happy.
We are trying to be happy too.. but this life will never be complete.. we are missing you deeply and that will never change. To others, they see us smile and imagine that we have gotten past our loss.. but we have not and will not.. we are living life, and moving forward, but never without you.. you are still with us in everything we do sweetheart. I carry you in my heart and soul.
There is never anything that can take that away.. and I do smile.. you are part of that smile.. I can now smile when I think of your face.. and I still also cry.. I cry because I am overjoyed that I was blessed with you.. I was blessed with an angel in my life.
You are our darling.. you are our daughter forever and we want to wish you the Happiest Birthday Heaven can offer.. we want you to look down on us and see that we love you.. Happy Birthday Danielle... 4 years old and ever so sweet... I wish you were here.. but someday, in Heaven, again we will meet..
