I came back to my dorm today and realized my room mate had already gotten the mail. I looked over to  my desk and saw a huge envelope there.  I read the return address and sure enough, it was from WDW college recruiting.  I turned it over and saw the infamous black Mickey heads on the envelope.  I was so excited to see what was inside.

I opened it up and found numerous papers and booklets inside.
    *  A letter from the recruiter I interviewed with
    *  A Seven Year Residency/Employment History Form
    *  A Consumer Report/Criminal Background Check Form
    *  A Consumer Notification Form
    *  "Get Ready to Live, Live and Earn" Booklet
    *  And of course the infamous "The Disney Look" booklet

I was so excited to mail all my forms back to Disney that I hurried up and filled them all out, put them in the envelope and sealed it shut, only to find out that i forgot to put one form in the envelope. I felt so stupid after I did that. I then  ripped open the return envelope they gave me and wrote out an envelope with that address on it, put a stamp on it, and put in the mail, hoping Disney would still want to hire me even though I can't do such a silly little job as put the forms in the envelope correctly. :o)

It actually didn't take me that long to get that big packet of stuff from Disney. I sent in  my job interest form on March 28 and recieved it about 18 days later.

I had called my sister, Janet, up yesterday to ask her what her managers phone number and address were when she worked at Captain Cooks at the Polynesian Resort during her Spring 98 CP.  I met her manager this summer when my family and I went on vacation to WDW. His name is Joee Mack and he was very nice. He bought us all strawberry daquiris while we sat and talked to him.  He said if I ever did the CP he would like to have me work there.  I said alright, not thinking I was actually going to interview.

Well after I got accepted, I thought about where I might be placed as a Quick Service Foods Hostess.  I am a Food Service Management Major and realized that the Polynesian would be a great place to work.  I am using the CP as my internship for Food Service Management and I have to see how all parts of the Food Service industry work.  I would most likely be working at Captain Cooks, which is a quick service restaurant.  I could then go and shadow people at the Kona Cafe, which is full service.  The Polynesian also has banquets and does catering so I could see how that works too.

Two days ago I emailed College Recruting and asked about how placements were done and if they could place me at Captain Cooks.  They said they couldn't gaurantee anything but they would put it on my file that I wanted to work there.  So I was feeling pretty happy.
Well anyway, to get back to my story, my sister called her friend who still works at the Polynesian and she asked Joee if I could work there. My sister called me back today and told me that he told her friend that he is going to talk it over with his head manager. I'm so excited!!
