In ancticipation of the band's fifth studio LP due for release early next year, the unsurpassable brilliance of suede is to be finally captured on dvd in November this year. The dvd will be entitled Suede:LOST IN TV and will contain videos of all the band's seventeen UK singles including their eight top ten smashed to date plus, additional rarities from around the world and exclusive footage never seen anywhere before. The dvd is also particularly noteworthy for the chance to see suede sitting on the couch watching, commenting on and critiscing each promo video in turn, a rare opportunity indeed to see the band joking and talking candidly about their ten yeas as filmstars. Of course, the videos can be watched as normal and also an option to sing along karaoke-style to your favorite suede songs. suede:lost in tv will also be made availabe on videofeaturing just all the seventeen videos. Rare dvd material included on suede:lost in tv includes the US promo of the Drowners, the Australian version of Can't Get Enough, drummer simon gilbert's version of europe is our playground and film of the band perfoming elvis costello's shipbuiling in 1995. the films will be complemented by further footage complied by gilbert especially for this release including scenes from the band's personal archives. |

Suede:lost in tv will also feautre a completely new song called Simon which the band previewed at last year's Reykjavik Laygardalsholl Stadium concert in Iceland and which will feature as the soundtrack to the title sequence in the new Christian Leigh film "far from china" stars aurelia thierree and marianne faithfull and simon was produced by sigur ros producer Ken Thomas and will almost certainly only be available on dvd. Suede are currently working on their eager-anticipated fifth studio album which should be completed by the end of the year. They release suede:lost in tv on dvd (NUDE556ODVD) and VHS (NUDE556OVHS) on Nude Records on November 26th. |
