Wrong Side of the Bed?
What is the first thing you do when you wake-up in the morning? What is the first thoughts that run through your mind? This topic is very important. It can mean the difference between having a good day or having a not so good day.

If the first thought that runs through your mind is something like: "I dread having to go to work today.", or "I sure don't want to have to deal with all the things I have to do today.", then that is how your day will be. If your thoughts are more positive, such as: "I'm going to make this a great day." "What a wonderful day. I'm alive, I'm worthy, and I'm going to enjoy today.", your day will be a good day.

I hate waking-up on the wrong side of the bed, don't you? I don't like being an ol' grumpy grump because it dictates how my day will be and also brings others down as well. Who needs that? It's great to be a pleasant person and others appreciate that side of you as it gives their spirit a lift. Positive thinking makes positive things happen. Negative thinking makes negative things happen. Which do you prefer?

Make a conscious effort to wake-up and have your first thoughts be positive thoughts. You WILL notice a difference in how your day will be. You will not only be a more positive person, but you will have more energy. Now that sounds like a winner to me. Having others look up to you for your positive attitude is terrific. Just think how you can brighten other people's day and how you can lift them up as well as yourself by having such a great attitude each day.

Put something on your night stand or in the bathroom so it will remind you to have your first thoughts of the day be positive ones. Put up 'Post It' notes if you need to. Hey! It works. Before you go to bed tonight sit quietly,or meditate and tell yourself (at least 5 times) "When I wake-up tomorrow my fist thoughts will be ONLY positive thoughts. I'm worth it." Come on. Just give a shot for a couple of weeks and just see if you can notice a difference. Agreed?

Let me know the differences it makes in your days and in your life. I'd love to hear about that. Positive thinking can even bring your blood pressure down. Did you know that? It can even keep those people with ulcers from having ulcer attacks. Positive thinking helps us live longer too. Pretty amazing how being positive affects so many areas of our lives. Plus it makes us so much happier and people want to be around us so much more than if we were negative.

I always like to tell people to begin each day with positive thoughts and a smile and hug from their Higher Power. What a beautiful way to start the day. Allow your spirit to sing each day. You are worthy of each day being beautiful.
LETTER OF THE WEEK

Dear Sue,
You seem to be a really spiritual person who works a lot with the spirit. Are you? If so, has it improved your life?
'M'

Yes, I am a very spiritual person. I believe we have to nurture our spirit. Our spirit is a gift and a blessing. I must say that I do not get into organized religion and therefore I am a 'spiritual' person as oposed to a 'religious' person. It has blessed me and my life in more ways than I can count. It's opened many doors for me and helped me to know who I really am. Thank you for the question.
GOAL FOR THE WEEK
Remind yourself each night to begin your day with only positive thoughts.

Think about positive thoughts that you can say to yourself when you wake-up each day.

Tell yourself all the positive ways that positive thinking affects your life.
