This page will be dedicated to my
Great Great Grandmother
Francis (Forrest) Towle

Francis Forrest Towle ( Wedding Photo ca.1876)
It is believed that Francis was of Indian Ancestry.
We also believe it is of the Iroquois Nation.

None of this has ever been confirmed, but with all the research that was done with My Genealogy  and comments I heard as a child, we know there is Native American blood running thru our veins.

The Iroquois Confederacy
was originally located in what is now New York State.
The confederacy was comprised of six separate tribes and had a highly developed political system in which the Clan Mothers played an important part. They were fierce warriors when provoked and well renown for their courage and sense of honor. They were, like all Native Americans,
very caring of their children and used dream catchers for their infant's and children's benefit.

The Ten Native American Commandments

1-Remain close to the Great Spirit
2-Show great respect for your fellow beings
3-Give assistance and kindness wherever needed
4-Be truthful and honest at all times
5-Do what you know to be right
6-Look after the well being of mind and body
7-Treat the earth and all that dwell there on with respect
8-Take full responsibility for your action
9-Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good
10-Work together for the benefit of all mankind
