| Our Family |
| The SummerDayz family lives on 10 acres in the beautiful rolling hills of Southern Indiana. Together they enjoy spending time with each other, their extended families, their friends, and their animals. They like to spend time outdoors, take nature hikes (even in January), and camp. Man Of The House works with turkeys on weekdays and goats & rabbits all the rest of the time. He also is a Boy Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader, and is involved in 4-H. Some of his favorite pasttimes include watching Boilermaker basketball and football, NASCAR, the Colts, the Pacers, and occasionally some baseball. He dislikes sealing the house logs every year or two. Wife stays home and provides daycare for five children. She also is an adult advisor for their county's 4-H Junior Leader Club and a member of the Adult Volunteer Leader Club. In keeping with the babysitting theme, she also runs the daycare at their church's Vacation Bible School. She dislikes laundry and dishes. She's gotten active in legislative and political issues lately, so watch out! Oldest Son earned his Eagle Scout rank on October 2, 2008, enjoys school, and is involved in Student Council, 4-H, Junior Leaders, and basketball. Some of his favorite things are reading, and just being with friends. He enjoys the title of "man of the house" when Dad's gone, but he must be reminded often of the resposibilities the title carries. He dislikes being banned from playing video and computer games on school days. Middle Boy thinks he wants to grow up to be a couch potato, but his body is always itching to move! He loves being in school all day, but misses his afternoon naps. He loves to please his parents. He is involved in Cub Scouts, and dislikes walking any farther than is absolutely necessary. Little Boy is living up to all those old wives tales about red heads. As a first grader, he thoroughly enjoys the time he gets to spend with his friends, but is still learning to like the "academic" part of school. If he HAD to pick a favorite subject, it would be Math. He's a Cub Scout as well. He especially dislikes keeping his room clean, but generally dislikes anything that's not guaranteed to be 135% fun. (Remember - he's a red head.) |
