SUMMERHILL ROAD GARAGE |
The following article has been extracted from the Tottenham & Edmonton Herald published on 30th May 1947 and reports on local objections to the planning application for Coaches to be garaged in Summerhill Road. It is interesting to note that it confirms the premises had previously been used as stables and lock-up garages.
We have subsequently discovered yet another article that was published in the 'Tottenham & Edmonton Herald' concerning the Summerhill Road premises of Horseshoe Coaches. This dates from 27th January 1957 and reports on the rejection of planning approval to extend the garage premises.
The Tottenham Herald also reported on the 27th Sep 1979 about a major fire that ocurred in the Garage. The two mystery heroes were in fact Ray Swain from number 11 Summerhill Road, and Geoff Jones fron number 10a Summerhill Road.
