For those that did not know, Stu was Jewish. Planting trees in Israel is often done in someone's honor or memory. Therefore, the Tampa munch and Orlando munch will be collecting money to plant trees in Israel in Stu's memory. This collection will be going on until December. Arleen & I (Jean) have known Stu for over 12 years. When we first started the DSSG back in 1990, Stu became part of our family and attended our meetings and was our first and only vendor for many years. If there was anything we ever needed in the case of leather goods to do demonstrations, Stu was right there.

We have so many good memories of moving from place to place to hold our DSSG meetings and Stu naturally moved right along with us and set up his vending booth. Since a lot of you are newcomers to the community, you probably have only heard some of the stories and antics that always went on when Stu was present.

He was also there at the first Tampa Munch back in June 1997 at the Brandon Mall when Mike Natali, Chuck, Arleen & I worked hard on presenting a comfortable place for newcomers & us (oldies) to meet once a month. He was also at the weekly "Bravo" shows that Mike & his troupe put on. No one ever wondered if Stu was coming to any BDSM event because he was always there.

He was one of the first & GREATEST leaders in our Tampa community and we will surely miss him! We hope everyone got a chance to see the tribute we did for Stu last Friday night on public access tv. We had reaired a tape that we had done over 2 years ago on "Making a Flogger" and it was one of the hardest things to do watching him when he was still walking & working his heart out.
